Junior Video Editor

Company Description Sloth Bear is a Bombay-based production house creating films, campaigns, branded content, social-first videos, and everything in between.

We're looking for a Junior Video Editor who loves visual storytelling, has a good sense of rhythm, and can turn raw footage into content that actually makes people stop scrolling.

Role Description

• Edit reels, social media content, branded films, ads, DVCs and other video formats.
• Work closely with producers, directors, creatives and the wider team to bring ideas to life.
• Organise and manage footage, project files and edit timelines.
• Create clean cuts with strong pacing, transitions, music and sound.
• Add basic motion graphics, typography, subtitles and visual effects when required.
• Make multiple versions and formats for different platforms.
• Take feedback positively and make quick, accurate revisions.
• Stay updated with current editing styles, trends, transitions and social-first content.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of editing experience (internships/freelance experience counts).
• Good command of Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Basic knowledge of After Effects is a plus.
• A strong understanding of pacing, music, storytelling and visual composition.
• Good attention to detail.
• Someone who is proactive, curious and willing to learn.
• Ability to work under tight timelines without compromising on quality.
• A good eye for what looks and feels cool.
