We are looking for a Junior Software Test Engineer (Exp. 0-2 years) to join our engineering team in Pune, India. You'll be part of a cross-functional team that's responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to production deployment.
The Software Test Engineer should be comfortable with various testing methodologies, should have advanced knowledge of software design and engineering, and a good eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Work with development teams and product managers to discuss product specifications.
- Designing manual and automated test procedures to evaluate each product.
- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
- Finalizing and documenting testing procedures.
- Creating test reports and arranging bug triage meetings
- Keep current with latest testing and debugging techniques.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide successful product launches.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Self-starting, creative individual who works well in a small team environment.
- Experience in generating test cases based on Product specifications.
- Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira.
- Basic knowledge of Linux commands
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and tools to validate RESTful API's
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- B.E/M.E./BSc/MSc in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Information technology, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 1-year relevant experience of testing products in a small, dedicated, multi-functional project team.
DESIRED:
- ISTQB certification would be added advantage
- Knowledge of any of the test automation tools (Selenium web driver would be preferable)
