Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Junior Sous Chef position located in Bengaluru. The Junior Sous Chef is the engine just behind the curtain—part craftsman, part conductor—ensuring the kitchen runs like a well-tuned orchestra even during its loudest, busiest moments. Working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef, this role blends hands-on cooking with team coordination, quality control, and operational discipline

Qualifications

  • Strong culinary skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating
  • Experience in menu planning, recipe development, and maintaining high-quality standards
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols, hygiene standards, and inventory management
  • Team leadership and collaboration skills to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Culinary certification or relevant educational background is highly preferred
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a supervisory role, is an advantage

• 2–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen or production setup

• Strong understanding of kitchen operations, prep systems, and service flow

• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure during peak hours

• Leadership potential with a hands-on, lead-by-example attitude

• Good knowledge of food safety standards and best practices

• Passion for food, attention to detail, and a drive to constantly improve
