Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Lead Platform Automation Engineer to drive the development and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks and testing infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for designing reusable automation tools, improving testing efficiency, and ensuring high-quality software delivery across platform systems.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to build robust automation solutions, support modern testing practices, and enable continuous integration and delivery pipelines. This role requires strong expertise in automation frameworks, full-stack testing, and modern testing tools.
You will also champion
shift-left testing practices, promote quality across the development lifecycle, and guide teams in implementing high-performance automation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for platform systems.
- Build and enhance test infrastructure and reusable automation tools to improve testing efficiency.
- Implement UI and API automation testing strategies using modern frameworks.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to test data management strategies and automation environment setup.
- Ensure testing solutions support high-performance and scalable applications.
- Promote shift-left testing practices and advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct code reviews, improve automation standards, and mentor team members.
- Support continuous delivery by enabling fast feedback loops through automated testing.
Mandatory Skills
- 12+ years of overall experience in Software Testing / Automation Engineering
- Strong SDET experience with automation framework development
- Expertise in Playwright or Cypress
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript and Core Java
- Hands-on experience in API Testing and UI Testing
- Experience building test infrastructure and reusable automation tools
- Good full-stack testing exposure
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools
- Strong understanding of product architecture and platform testing
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
- Exposure to test data management and test environment setup
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead automation initiatives and mentor engineering teams
