Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Safety Officer located in Kolkata. The Junior Safety Officer will oversee workplace health and safety, conduct safety inspections, manage occupational health initiatives, and lead safety training sessions. The role also involves documenting and analyzing accidents, implementing preventative measures, and ensuring adherence to safety policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of Health & Safety standards and practices, as well as Occupational Health principles
- Experience in Accident Investigation and the ability to analyze incidents to determine root causes
- Skills in Security management to identify and mitigate potential worksite vulnerabilities
- Proficiency in developing and conducting Safety Training sessions and programs
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of local and national safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site with diverse teams
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline is highly advantageous
