Junior PV Design Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior PV Design Engineer. The Junior PV Design Engineer (Electrical) will support the design and drafting activities for ground-mounted solar PV power projects. The role involves preparation of electrical layouts, drawings, and documentation using standard engineering software, while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements.

Main responsibilities:

• Assist in the electrical design and drafting of ground-mounted solar PV power plants;
• Prepare engineering drawings and documents using AutoCAD, PVCASE, Google Earth, and MS Office;
• Draft layouts including PV array yard, inverter grouping, earthing and lightning protection, cable routing, trench sections, equipment and building layouts, and BOQ;
• Prepare as-built drawings based on site inputs and redline markups;
• Convert hand sketches and marked-up drawings into accurate CAD drawings;
• Maintain and update CAD templates, drawing standards, and libraries as per latest revisions;
• Ensure drawings comply with internal standards, project specifications, and timelines;
• Coordinate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams for design updates.

Your profile:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering;
• 1 to 2 years of experience in electrical drafting and layout preparation for solar PV power projects. Fresh graduates with relevant skills may also be considered. Exposure to utility-scale or ground-mounted solar projects is an added advantage. Proficiency in English is preferred;
• AutoCAD (Certified course preferred);
• PVCASE;
• Google Earth;
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
