Job Summary
The Junior Purchase Manager (Civil Materials) will assist in sourcing, procurement and inventory management of civil construction materials for ongoing projects. The role provides support to the senior purchase team, ensuring timely procurement, cost efficiency and quality compliance for materials like cement, steel, aggregates, finishes and MEP-related civil items.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in sourcing and procuring civil construction materials for projects
Support senior purchase managers in vendor identification, evaluation and on-boarding
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials as per project schedules
Maintain records of purchase orders, invoices and material receipts
Monitor inventory levels, stock availability and material usage at project sites
Help with rate analysis, cost comparison and basic negotiation
Assist in maintaining an updated vendor database and vendor performance records
Coordinate with project engineers and accounts teams for material planning and payments
Ensure compliance with quality standards, company policies and procurement procedures
Prepare basic procurement reports and assist in MIS reporting
Support the resolution of supplier issues, delays or quality concerns
