Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Project Officer based in Jaipur. The Junior Project Officer will assist in coordinating and implementing forest creation projects, conduct site assessments, and collaborate with ecologists and architects for design and execution. Responsibilities include monitoring project progress, preparing reports, engaging with local communities, and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. The role demands effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders to ensure the success of forest restoration initiatives.
Qualifications
- Project management and organizational skills to plan, monitor, and implement forest creation projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting, stakeholder engagement, and community outreach
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team and engage with local communities
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability in fieldwork environments
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field but not limited to
- Proficiency in GIS tools and basic data analysis is an added advantage
- Prior experience in environmental or forestry projects is beneficial
