Program Overview For Sustainable Cities And Transport

WRI India's Integrated Transport Program supports India's decarbonization journey through effective, equitable, and inclusive mobility solutions. The program focuses on advancing sustainable urban transport, including electrification of public transport, clean air initiatives, and hydrogen economy. It emphasizes strategic research, policy support, and capacity building to enable systemic changes at the sub-national level and accelerate electric mobility adoption.

What You Will Do

  • Supporting design and implementation of pilot projects in collaboration with Discoms, industry partners, and other stakeholders, including end-of-life planning.
  • Identifying regulatory and policy gaps aligned with technical and business model requirements for energy storage integration.
  • Analyzing financial and operational feasibility of incorporating storage within energy distribution systems.
  • Contributing to the development of actionable policy recommendations and regulatory frameworks to enhance revenue opportunities at the distribution level.
  • Conducting data analysis and coordinating with teams to translate insights into reports, presentations, and strategic action plans.

What You Will Need

  • A bachelors/master's degree and professional work experience (2 to 4 years) in relevant disciplines
  • A good understanding of the role of energy storage and related regulatory landscape pertaining to the electric mobility in the country
  • A good understanding of quantitative analytical tools and research methodologies Should have experience in writing reports, briefs, scientific papers, blogs.
  • Responsible and self-motivated individual that can work independently or in a team.
  • Ability to receive and incorporate constructive feedback effectively.
  • Independent, motivated, detail-oriented, and organized thinker
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines

Salary and Benefits: INR 7,50,000 to 9,00,000 Per Annum

Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI India offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.

Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance)

Location: Bangalore

Start Date: At the earliest
