The Role:

DWM is seeking a Junior Portfolio Manager (Associate level) to support the management and growth of its private debt platform.

This role offers hands-on exposure across the full investment lifecycle, from portfolio construction and risk management to performance monitoring and investor reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with a genuine interest in emerging markets and impact investing.

You will work closely with senior investment professionals and collaborate across investment, risk, and investor relations functions.

Key Responsibilities:

​

Portfolio Management & Fund Support

• Assist in the management of DWM debt funds across the full lifecycle, from design through execution and ongoing investment activities
• Support the development and maintenance of portfolio criteria aligned with investor requirements
• Assist with ongoing portfolio monitoring, including performance tracking and adherence to fund guidelines

Risk, Hedging & Market Analysis

• Support the development and maintenance of fund hedging strategies (FX and interest rate), ensuring adherence to fund Portfolio Performance Metrics (PPMs)
• Conduct country, macroeconomic, and currency analysis to support investment and portfolio management decisions

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Support the tracking and analysis of portfolio performance metrics, including financial returns and impact indicators
• Assist in the preparation of materials for fund reporting and investor communications
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of portfolio management tools and reporting frameworks

Product Development & Investment Support

• Assist with product development efforts to expand DWM's impact investment offerings
• Support portfolio design and structuring efforts in line with fund objectives and investor requirements

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with internal teams, including investment, risk, and investor relations, to support portfolio management and reporting processes

​​Experience and Qualifications: ​

• Education: A college degree with strong academic performance, e.g. Financial engineering, Economics
• Experience: 4 or more years of relevent experience in asset management, investment banking, private credit or fixed income
• Language Skills: Fluency in English.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; specifically, the ability to present and communicate complex analysis to a variety of audiences. 

Technical Skills: ​

• Experience with Fixed Income Debt Fund management, with a focus on private debt investments
• Experience in emerging markets including FX hedge products.
• Ability to model all products, including direct and portfolio-based FX and interest rate hedge solutions
• Experienced in trading systems, such as Bloomberg; excellent with Excel and visualization tools (QlikView, Tableau, etc)

Preferred qualifications: 

• Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) 
• Programming skills (VBA, SQL, and Python) 
• Fluency in a second language
