Role Description
We're looking for motivated and skilled Junior Podcast Video Editors to join our team in a remote, full-time role. This role is integral to the creation and distribution of high-quality podcast episodes and promotional content. You'll be responsible for editing audio and video for high engagement, transcribing episodes, crafting engaging social media snippets, and managing content publishing to expand our reach. Ideal for editors who enjoy improving through clear systems. You'll work under a Producer who sets direction, standards and workflows. You'll be expected to share your media portfolio as part of the process.
Responsibilities:
- Audio & Video Editing: Edit podcast episodes with Descript, Adobe Premier and/or Davinci Resolve and other AI-powered tools, ensuring clear, professional quality with balanced sound, noise reduction, and smooth transitions.
- Transcription & Writing: Create accurate episode transcriptions and compelling show notes with the help of AI tools
- Content Creation: Create attention-grabbing video shorts and promotional materials to drive engagement.
- Publishing Management: Schedule and distribute episodes across podcast hosting platforms and social media, ensuring timely, consistent releases.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards for audio and video content, addressing technical issues proactively.
- Collaborative Planning: Work closely with the host and team to align on episode themes, content structure, and promotional tactics.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze engagement metrics to optimize future content and marketing strategies.
- Process Enhancement: Continuously document, iterate and improve the production workflow with SOPs, tools and checklists
Skills Required:
- 2+ Years of Experience with Video editing
- Technical Proficiency: Experience or readiness to master Descript and other AI editing tools.
- Social Media Savvy: Understanding of social media management and scheduling software.
- Reliable: Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining accountability.
- Effective Communication: Ability to convey ideas clearly and collaborate seamlessly with the team.
- Detail-Oriented: Ensures quality and consistency in all content produced.
