Overview of Job
We are seeking a talented Junior Odoo Developer with 1 to 2.6 years of experience to assist in the development and customization of Odoo solutions. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of the Odoo platform and basic skills in designing, implementing and maintaining Odoo modules. This role involves supporting senior developers, learning on the job and contributing to the seamless integration of Odoo with other systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
Odoo Development
- Assist in the design, development and implementation of custom Odoo modules based on business requirements.
- Support the customization of existing Odoo modules to meet specific client needs.
- Help develop and maintain Odoo integrations with third-party applications and services.
Collaboration And Learning
- Work closely with senior developers to learn best practices and gain deeper expertise in Odoo development.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and assist in resolving issues related to Odoo development and deployment.
Project Support
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to gather requirements and contribute to project scope definition.
- Assist in developing project timelines and ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Provide updates on project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
System Analysis And Design
- Analyze business processes and requirements under the guidance of senior developers to help design effective solutions using Odoo.
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation including design specifications.
Testing And Quality Assurance
- Participate in unit testing and debugging to ensure functionality and performance.
- Assist in system integration testing and coordinate with users for acceptance testing.
Support And Maintenance
- Provide support and maintenance for existing Odoo systems.
- Address issues reported by users and provide timely resolutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- 1 to 2.6 years of experience in Odoo development.
- Basic understanding of Odoo's architecture, workflows and reporting tools.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python, XML and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases.
- Knowledge of Odoo framework, modules and architecture.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to Odoo development tools and methodologies.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
