Skillzenloop is hiring a Medical Coder Intern to assist in reviewing medical records and assigning appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures. This role is ideal for students and freshers from healthcare or life sciences backgrounds who want to gain practical experience in medical coding and healthcare documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Review medical records and clinical documents for accurate coding
Assign appropriate codes using standard coding systems (ICD, CPT, etc.)
Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical data
Maintain confidentiality and follow healthcare compliance standards
Assist in identifying and correcting coding errors
Work with documentation and reports related to patient records
Support in maintaining organized and updated coding data
Follow coding guidelines and industry standards
Required Skills
Basic understanding of medical terminology
Knowledge of ICD/CPT coding is a plus
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good analytical and comprehension skills
Basic computer knowledge and data handling
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Eligibility Criteria
Students or recent graduates from Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related fields
Freshers are encouraged to apply
Candidates with medical coding knowledge or certification will have an advantage
Must be available for a full-time remote internship
