Job description
Job Purpose: To maintain and develop Magento based websites, ensuring optimal performance and managing hosting and domain related configurations.
Role & responsibilities:
Website Maintenance & Development:
- Maintain existing Magento Open source websites, ensuring they are updated and running efficiently.
- Develop new features, customizations and integrations as per project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, functionality and compatibility.
Hosting & Domain Management:
- Manage hosting environments, including setup, optimization and troubleshooting.
- Handle domain registrations, renewals, DNS configurations and SSL certificate installations.
Performance Optimization, Code Development & Best Practices:
- Optimize website speed and performance, including database tuning and caching mechanisms.
- Conduct regular website Audits to identify and fix performance bottlenecks.
- Write clean, modular and well documented code adhering to Magento standards.
- Perform code reviews and ensure quality assurance.
- Ensure that all upgrades in terms of design, new product updates, listing, creation of micro page on the site, price updates, promotion checks and updates are maintained on a regular basis and updated as per the promo calendar and promo implementation.
- SEO management and optimization.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement security best practices to safeguard websites from vulnerabilities
- Stay updated on latest Magento patches and updates, applying them as necessary.
Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with designers, content creators and other developers to deliver high quality websites.
- Provide technical support and training to team members as required.
- Coordinate with inter departmental and intercompany stakeholders to ensure updates are regularly provided and monthly reports are filed in time.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Certification in Magento Plus (Added advantage)
