Role Description The Junior Lighting Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. In this role, the designer will assist in developing lighting concepts and layouts for interior and architectural projects, preparing drawings, specifications, and presentations under the guidance of senior team members.

· Day-to-day tasks include supporting project documentation, selecting fixtures, coordinating with suppliers, and helping with lighting calculations and control layouts.

· The Junior Lighting Designer will collaborate with designers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs are accurate, feasible, and aligned with client requirements and building standards.

· The role also involves learning and applying relevant software tools, participating in site visits when required, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes.

Qualifications

· Skills in Lighting Design and general Lighting concepts relevant to commercial, residential, or architectural projects.

· Knowledge of Lighting Control systems, including basic understanding of dimming, zoning, and automation.

· Exposure to Architectural Lighting, with an ability to integrate lighting solutions into building and façade design.

· Foundational Interior Design skills, including space planning and understanding of materials and finishes.

· Ability to use design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, or similar tools).

· Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

· Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and respond to client feedback.

· Diploma or degree in Lighting Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; internship or project experience in lighting is an advantage.
