Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Interior Designer based in Palakkad. The Junior Interior Designer will assist in developing interior concepts, preparing mood boards, and supporting space planning for residential and commercial projects. Daily responsibilities include creating and updating drawings, assisting with construction documentation, coordinating with senior designers and architects, and participating in site visits and measurements. The role involves researching materials and finishes, supporting FF&E selection and scheduling, and preparing presentations for client meetings. The Junior Interior Designer will collaborate with project teams to ensure design intent is maintained through execution and that timelines and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Interior Design and Architecture, with the ability to support concept development and design detailing.
  • Skills in Space Planning and Construction Drawings to create functional layouts and accurate technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination.
  • Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, InDesign).
  • Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to follow design guidelines and project processes.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and site personnel.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Interest in sustainable design practices and current interior design trends is an advantage.
