Role Description As a Junior Interior Designer at DesignHex, you will support the design team in developing residential and commercial interiors from concept to completion. This full-time, on-site role in Mumbai involves assisting with space planning, preparing mood boards, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). You will contribute to construction drawings, help document design details, and collaborate with senior designers, vendors, and contractors to ensure accurate implementation. Daily activities include site visits, measurements, revisions based on feedback, and maintaining project documentation in line with the studio's design standards and timelines.
Qualifications
- Prior Experience of 2-3 Years
- Strong foundational skills in Interior Design and Space Planning for residential and commercial projects.
- Knowledge of Architecture principles and their application within interior design contexts.
- Ability to produce and interpret Construction Drawings, layouts, and details.
- Experience or training in FF&E selection, including furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and MS Office tools.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Strong visual sense, attention to detail, and ability to follow design guidelines and feedback.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site and manage multiple tasks.
- Portfolio demonstrating academic or professional interior design work; prior internship experience is an advantage.
