Role purpose Support the BUG program by executing day-to-day product and process quality activities to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time delivery. Partner with Manufacturing, AME, Supply Chain, and HPTs to prevent defects, resolve issues quickly, and continuously improve SQDC outcomes.

- Perform and document incoming, in-process, and final inspections against drawings, specifications, and control plans; ensure on-time inspection to meet production schedules without compromising quality.
- Verify conformance using calibrated measurement systems; perform visual and dimensional inspections; identify and segregate nonconforming product.
- Approve in-process and finished product by confirming specifications and acceptance criteria; conduct required tests (mechanical, electrical where applicable); communicate and validate adjustments with Production.
- Support first article inspections per AS9102 (as applicable) and qualification/PPAP for new or changed parts.
- Initiate and maintain NCRs; participate in MRB to drive timely disposition (use-as-is, repair, rework, scrap) per procedures; coordinate RTV and supplier recovery actions; maintain critical supplier scorecards.
- Investigate internal and customer escapes, defects, and process issues; perform root cause analysis (e.g., 5-Why, fishbone) and implement corrective/preventive actions; verify and sustain effectiveness.
- Execute to the Quality Management System (e.g., AS9100) and customer/regulatory requirements; document quality assurance activities; support internal, supplier, and customer audits; address findings to closure.
- Collect, analyze, and report quality data and KPIs (COQ, FPY, DPU, escape rate, OTD for qualifications); support digitization of quality metrics (e.g., MES Quality module dashboards).
- Manage calibration status of gauges/instruments/fixtures (in-house and subcontracted); maintain records; support MSA (GR&R); help deploy smart gauges (e.g., Bluetooth-enabled) where applicable.
- Participate in Kaizen, 5S, standard work, mistake-proofing, and layout/resource optimization; identify bottlenecks and risks early and escalate/resolve promptly.
- Actively participate in HPT meetings; provide quality insights, trend analysis, and status on RCCA/CAPA, escapes, and risk mitigations; partner with AME on process readiness and change control.
- Complete inspection reports, logs, COQ tracking, and quality summaries; maintain accurate Device History Records/lot history as applicable; ensure data integrity.
The Ideal Candidate
The Ideal candidate will ensure the quality of the entire product line, manage internal audits, and drive corrective actions. They will lead quality initiatives, mentor quality inspectors, and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in in Mechanical or Production Engineering from a reputed college /university
- 2 - 3 years hands on experience in Quality
