Job Title: Junior Engineer/Engineer - Civil (Construction)

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Engineer/Engineer with a focus on Civil Engineering to join our construction team. The Junior Engineer/Engineer will play a key role in assisting with the planning, design, and execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for contributing to the successful completion of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, design, and coordination of construction projects under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project requirements, existing conditions, and constraints.
- Prepare engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other relevant software.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, estimates, and schedules.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor construction progress and quality, and assist in addressing any issues or concerns that arise during the construction process.
- Perform calculations, analyses, and simulations to support design decisions and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Assist in the review and approval of project designs, drawings, and documents.
- Participate in project meetings, presentations, and reviews with clients and stakeholders.
- Support field personnel and construction teams with technical guidance and assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Construction experience 3+ yrs is mandatory.
- Relevant internship or co-op experience in civil engineering or construction industry preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other engineering software.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a dynamic construction environment.
