Job Purpose
- Maintaining and repairing boiler equipment and all associated components.
- Regularly testing boiler water and making necessary adjustments to chemicals to prevent corrosion and harmful deposits.
- Keeping detailed records of inspections, maintenance routines, and repairs.
- Ensuring compliance with state and local safety regulations and guidelines.
- Training and overseeing subordinates in proper operation, safety protocols, and maintenance work.
- Managing the fuel inventory and other consumables necessary for boiler operation.
- Operate and maintain boilers, observing all safety procedures and regulations.
- Monitor boiler equipment and systems to detect malfunctions and necessary maintenance.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance on boiler systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Record and maintain daily logs on boiler operations, maintenance, and safety activities.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to implement repairs and improvements.
- Adhere to all environmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
- Train and mentor junior staff on boiler operation and safety procedures.
- Daily Maintenance: Visual Inspection, Ash Removal, Fuel Quality Monitoring, System performance check.
- Weekly Maintenance: Combustion Chamber Cleaning, Heat Exchanger Inspection, Check controls and sensors. Tube cleaning, checking and testing of conveyor system,
- Yearly Maintenance: Boiler complete Hydrostatic pressure testing, Chimney inspection and cleaning.
