Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated
Embedded Software Test Engineer with
1 3 years of experience in embedded software testing and validation. The ideal candidate will support the testing and verification of embedded software for residential HVAC systems and controllers. The role involves designing and executing test cases, identifying software defects, validating embedded applications, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, communication protocols, software testing methodologies, and basic programming knowledge in
C or Python.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing and validation of embedded software for HVAC systems and embedded controllers.
- Design, develop, execute, and document test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and validation testing of embedded software.
- Identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, document, and track software defects.
- Verify software functionality against system requirements and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and quality engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Assist in maintaining test environments, hardware test setups, and automation frameworks where applicable.
- Execute software validation activities using embedded debugging tools and development environments.
- Support root cause analysis of software defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes, methodologies, and documentation.
- Prepare detailed test reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with software quality standards and engineering best practices.
Required Technical Skills Embedded Systems
- Strong understanding of Embedded Systems concepts.
- Knowledge of embedded software development and testing.
- Familiarity with embedded controllers and real-time systems.
