Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Executive – Electrical to manage and execute procurement activities for electrical, MEP, and infrastructure/construction projects. The role will involve material sourcing, vendor management, price negotiation, purchase coordination, and ensuring timely availability of materials as per project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement plans for electrical materials and equipment based on project requirements.
- Source and evaluate electrical suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Manage the complete procurement cycle from enquiry and quotation to PO placement and material delivery.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials in line with project timelines and site requirements.
- Procure electrical materials such as cables, wires, conduits, cable trays, panels, DBs, switchgear, lighting, earthing materials, and other electrical components.
- Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Design, and Site teams to understand technical and material requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and develop new vendor sources.
- Monitor procurement costs and support cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
- Verify vendor quotations, technical specifications, delivery terms, and commercial conditions.
- Track pending orders, deliveries, and material shortages and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain proper procurement records, vendor databases, quotations, POs, and related documentation.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project specifications, and quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement/purchase, preferably in electrical, MEP, infrastructure, construction, warehouse, retail, or turnkey projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, suppliers, and market rates.
- Good negotiation, vendor management, and commercial skills.
- Ability to read and understand electrical specifications, BOQs, and material requirements.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement documentation.
