About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Junior Electrical Engineer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should be capable of reading electrical drawings, performing troubleshooting, and contributing effectively within a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
Key Responsibilities / Job Scope
- Interpret and read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings accurately
- Perform installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to ensure minimal downtime
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and reporting
- Assist in project execution, including planning
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures
- Work closely with team members, contractors, and other departments on technical matters
- Support documentation, reporting, and record-keeping of maintenance and installation work
- Provide on-site technical support when required
Team Collaboration & Work Environment
- Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and project teams to deliver project milestones on time
- Participate in daily/weekly team briefings and progress discussions
- Share technical knowledge and provide support to junior team members when needed
- Communicate clearly on technical findings, challenges, and solutions to supervisors and team members
- Work alongside contractors and vendors, ensuring clear instructions, alignment, and quality of work
- Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating accountability, reliability, and mutual support
- Be proactive in suggesting improvements and collaborating on process enhancements
Requirements
- Min. O Level or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on experience
- Able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Mature, responsible, and able to work independently
- Good team player with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Strong communication skills
- Willing to work in Tuas area and follow a 5.5-day work week
