Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Junior Electrical Engineer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should be capable of reading electrical drawings, performing troubleshooting, and contributing effectively within a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities / Job Scope

  • Interpret and read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings accurately
  • Perform installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to ensure minimal downtime
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and reporting
  • Assist in project execution, including planning
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures
  • Work closely with team members, contractors, and other departments on technical matters
  • Support documentation, reporting, and record-keeping of maintenance and installation work
  • Provide on-site technical support when required

Team Collaboration & Work Environment

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and project teams to deliver project milestones on time
  • Participate in daily/weekly team briefings and progress discussions
  • Share technical knowledge and provide support to junior team members when needed
  • Communicate clearly on technical findings, challenges, and solutions to supervisors and team members
  • Work alongside contractors and vendors, ensuring clear instructions, alignment, and quality of work
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating accountability, reliability, and mutual support
  • Be proactive in suggesting improvements and collaborating on process enhancements

Requirements

  • Min. O Level or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on experience
  • Able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Mature, responsible, and able to work independently
  • Good team player with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willing to work in Tuas area and follow a 5.5-day work week
