Junior Draftsman/AutoCAD Designer

The Role

We are looking for a mechanical draughtsman who understands how pharmaceutical facilities are built, across oral, liquid, topical, sterile and oncology manufacturing. You will work alongside our project managers and engineers to turn early design ideas into complete, construction-ready mechanical drawings. Your work will need to satisfy GMP and other regulatory expectations while staying practical and cost-conscious for the client.

Key Responsibilities :

Translate concept layouts into fully developed mechanical drawings, carrying each design through every stage up to final detail. Produce precise AutoCAD drawings that respect each client's technical requirements, budget and quality expectations. Revise and update drawings promptly as inputs arrive from the project team, client or vendors. Maintain drawing control, including document numbering and clear revision tracking. Build consistency into our drawing practice by reusing standard details and blocks, keeping designs economical and compliant. Travel to vendor works for Factory Acceptance Tests and packing inspections, flag quality gaps and follow through until the vendor resolves them. Track and report project drawing progress every week.

What We Expect From You:

Strong, hands-on AutoCAD skills. Working knowledge of the regulatory and industry standards that govern pharma facilities, including cGMP, GLP, GSP, ISPE, ISO and EMA guidance. Initiative to work without close supervision, the energy to motivate others, and a collaborative attitude within a project team. Familiarity with ERP or SAP systems is a plus.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised technical board, government polytechnic or reputed engineering institute. 2 to 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical engineering or consultancy firm.
