Position - Junior DevOps Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting automation, deployment pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring, while collaborating with developers, QA, and operations teams. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with modern DevOps tools, cloud platforms, and CI/CD processes in an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or equivalent tools.
- Manage source code repositories (Git, Bitbucket) with proper branching and versioning strategies.
- Support containerization efforts using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Collaborate with the team to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
- Work with AWS/Azure cloud services for provisioning, scaling, and monitoring infrastructure.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Splunk, DataDog).
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Write and maintain shell/bash scripts for automation of recurring tasks.
- Participate in agile processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and JIRA task tracking.
- Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance by following best DevOps practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps/Cloud/Automation.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and build/release management.
- Proficiency with Git/BitBucket for version control.
- Working knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent automation tools.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
- Exposure to AWS/Azure cloud platforms and related services.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, DataDog, or similar.
- Experience in scripting languages (Shell, Bash) for automation.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies.
