Junior Designer – Brand & Design, Jombay

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and capable junior designers to join our design team. Designers must have either a design degree or relevant experience in this field.

We place importance on great concept skills, the ability to articulate concepts visually and verbally, and being able to translate early concept designs into detailed design files.

While experience is not necessary, considerable background in creating video and static collateral, and an overall enthusiasm for churning out new ideas will help in being successful at this role.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Able to understand a brief & design for the Jombay brand.
• Strong visualisation and conceptualisation skills, particularly for digital campaigns.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro).
• Experience with video creation and editing tools.
• Comfort in using AI tools like Claude, Chatgpt, Nano Banana, and others to improve design efficiency.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high design standards.
• Curiosity about emerging design and AI trends, tools, and technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Junior Designer, you will work with a small but agile design team and will be reporting to the Lead Designer to create compelling visual experiences across various touchpoints.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conceptualisation and design of a wide range of internal collateral, including social media creatives, digital advertisements, banners, presentations, email signatures, and video content.
• Supporting the conceptualisation and execution of integrated digital campaigns.
• Assisting in the creation, consistency, and enforcement of design standards.
• Coordinating and tracking the execution of design deliverables to ensure timely completion..
• Working cross functionally confidently to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Design degree or equivalent practical experience in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating both creative thinking and execution skills.
