About Us
Teak Tock is a creator of bespoke luxury furniture, crafting timeless, detail-driven pieces for
discerning clients. While teak remains our signature material, our expertise extends to plywood,
HDHMR, veneers, and other premium woods, blending modern design sensibilities with
exceptional craftsmanship.
We frequently collaborate with architects and interior designers on projects for
High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNI), delivering one-of-a-kind pieces that align with the overall
design vision. Alongside these collaborations, we also design and produce fully bespoke
furniture for private clients, bringing unique concepts to life from scratch.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Junior Designer who is passionate about furniture, interior, and
architectural design, has a strong sense of proportion and detailing, and thrives in a
collaborative, hands-on work environment. You will work closely with senior designers,
architects, and our production team to develop, refine, and execute bespoke furniture concepts
— from initial sketches to final prototype.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in concept development and design ideation for bespoke furniture pieces and interior elements.
- Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and renderings using CAD software
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and project managers to ensure alignment with broader project requirements.
- Support in material selection, finish specification, and sampling to achieve the desired design language.
- Participate in on-site measurements, installation coordination, and client presentations.
- Liaise with skilled craftsmen to ensure design accuracy and quality execution.
- Maintain project documentation, including revisions, specifications, and approvals.
- Research design trends, joinery techniques, materials, and finishes to inspire innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in furniture, interior, or product design (fresh graduates are welcome).
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360, along with rendering tools like KeyShot, V-Ray, or Lumion.
- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, joinery, finishes, and practical construction methods.
- Knowledge of interior design layouts and basic architectural detailing.
- Good visualization skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly through sketches and presentations.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a proactive learning mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a workshop-driven, hands-on environment.
Preferred Qualities
- Aesthetic sensibility that balances modern, minimal, and unconventional design languages.
- Comfort with experimenting and iterating during the prototyping process.
- Appreciation for craftsmanship and the ability to blend tradition with contemporary form.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to work on high-end, custom projects from concept to completion.
- Direct exposure to luxury residential and commercial projects in collaboration with leading architects and interior designers.
- Experience working with HNI clients and premium-grade materials.
- Hands-on involvement in the design-to-build process with experienced craftsmen.
- A creative, supportive environment that encourages innovation and skill growth.
