About the Role

We are hiring a motivated and analytically driven Junior Data Scientist (Intern) to join our growing remote team. This is a paid internship offering real exposure to machine learning workflows, data modeling, and AI-driven product development — directly contributing to Nextgraad's technology and talent solutions.

You will work alongside our data and product teams to build, test, and improve models that power smarter recruitment and learning outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Assist in building and evaluating machine learning and predictive models
• Clean, preprocess, and explore datasets to extract meaningful insights
• Support the development of AI-driven features for recruitment and education platforms
• Perform exploratory data analysis and present findings to the team
• Research and implement relevant data science techniques and algorithms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into data solutions
• Document methodologies, models, and results clearly for internal use

Who We Are Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Working knowledge of Python (required) — including Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and model building
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau
• Knowledge of SQL for data querying is a plus
• Strong problem-solving ability with keen attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
