Execute vegetable oil sales and commercial activities while developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and business partners.
Monitor physical cargo movements and supply chain execution to ensure smooth fulfillment of contractual obligations.
Gather market intelligence and analyze industry developments, including supply-demand fundamentals, pricing trends, trade flows, and competitor activities.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the global oilseeds and vegetable oils markets, including key origins, destinations, products, and market participants.
Support commercial activities related to vegetable oil and oilseed trading, including contract management, pricing, logistics coordination, and customer servicing.
Coordinate and manage international trade processes, including import/export documentation, shipping requirements, letters of credit, and payment execution.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including trading, operations, logistics, finance, and risk management teams to ensure efficient business execution.
Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager from time to time.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Agriculture, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related discipline.
Strong interest in commodity markets, international trade, agribusiness, and global market developments.
Demonstrates a commercial mindset, competitive drive, and a desire to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn about the agricultural commodities industry.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Good negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-management skills.
Conversant in Mandarin (spoken and written) would be preferred to support business communications with stakeholders.
Proficiency in one or more Southeast Asian languages would be highly advantageous.
Ability to work effectively with stakeholders from diverse countries, cultures, and business environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business applications is preferred.
Willingness to travel for business when required (2 to 3 times a year).
Preferred Qualifications
Prior internship or work experience in commodity trading, agribusiness, edible oils, shipping, logistics, supply chain, trade finance, or related industries.
Knowledge of vegetable oils, oilseeds, international trade documentation, Incoterms, and letter of credit processes would be advantageous.
