Position: Junior Chemist

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in routine chemical and physical testing of edible oils, including:
1.Free Fatty Acid (FFA)
2.Peroxide Value (PV)
3.Moisture & Volatile Matter (MIV)
4.Colour, Soap Content, etc.
- Support in packaging material inspection, including polyfilms, BOPP tapes, cartons, etc.
- Perform basic testing of water, chemicals, and other incoming materials (e.g. coal, process chemicals) as per SOPs.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of test results in logbooks and software systems.
- Follow and maintain lab hygiene, safety protocols, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Assist in equipment calibration, reagent preparation, and overall lab maintenance.
- Coordinate with production and QA teams for sample collection and reporting of deviations.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong foundation in basic chemistry and analytical techniques.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a factory/lab setting.
- Good observation, attention to detail, and data recording ability.
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Word) for documentation.
- Ability to follow instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and adaptable to working in a plant/lab environment.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Chemistry
- OR Diploma in Food Technology / Chemical Engineering
- OR B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
