About The Role
This is a Junior Category Manager role to support operational execution across multiple
categories including Flights, Hotels, Experiences, Miles Exchange, Mobile Recharges & eSIM,
Lounges, and Charity categories.
The role is heavily operations-focused and requires strong Excel skills, high ownership,
structured documentation, and excellent follow-up discipline. You will ensure seamless daily
operations, support supplier coordination, and provide data-driven visibility to the category
team.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations & Category Tracking
- Track daily orders, category performance, outages, success rates, and product
availability.
- Maintain organized and accurate trackers for each category.
- Flag operational risks or deviations early.
- Excel-Based Analysis & Reporting
- Run basic pricing checks, competitor/marketplace benchmarking, and margin visibility.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for leadership.
- Support pricing initiatives and margin improvement exercises using Excel.
- Pricing & Margin Audits
- Conduct periodic pricing audits across categories to ensure competitiveness.
- Check margin leakages, FX variances (where applicable), and pricing anomalies.
- Maintain updated records of pricing, historical changes, and commercial terms.4. Vendor Onboarding & Consolidation
- Coordinate with suppliers for pricing updates, outages, replenishments, and basic
operational needs.
- Support new vendor onboarding by collecting documents, completing checklists, and
coordinating with internal teams.
- Assist in vendor consolidation by comparing pricing, SLAs, margins, and overall
performance, and preparing simple summary sheets.
- Internal Coordination (Product, Tech, Catalog & Finance)
- Raise JIRA/Freshdesk tickets for pricing or catalog issues and maintain a simple tracker
of open items coordinating for closures.
- Coordinate with Product, Tech, Catalog, and Finance teams for daily operational needs
and timely updates to support smooth category operations.
- Escalate blockers with clear context and support category-related updates such as
pricing changes or new supplier tasks.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong Excel skills (Filters, Pivots, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, generic data organisation
formulas, etc.).
- Ability to analyse pricing sheets, compare with marketplaces, and finalize trending/best-
selling SKUs across markets.
- Comfortable working with large data sets and simplify data for reporting.
Operational Skills
- Highly organized and process-oriented.
- Strong follow-up & documentation discipline.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks across categories.
Communication Skills
- Clear verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work with vendors and internal teams professionally.
- Strong reporting habits and clarity in escalations.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years in category operations, e-commerce, travel tech, digital rewards, or similar
roles.
- Global loyalty/e-commerce experience is a big plus.
- Exposure to supplier coordination and pricing work is a plus.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
