Overall Summary: We are seeking a Junior Calypso Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Java development, particularly in cloud environments, and possess a keen interest in applying their programming skills within the financial services sector.
Overall Responsibilities:
Develop Java applications specifically designed for cloud environments.
Exhibit strong programming skills to create efficient and maintainable code.
Apply problem-solving skills to tackle technical issues and optimize solutions.
Utilize experience in the finance industry, particularly in investment banking, for front and back office applications.
Leverage product knowledge of FX while integrating with platforms like Calypso or Murex.
Software Requirements:
Proficient in Java programming with a focus on cloud application development.
Understanding of financial applications and processes, particularly in investment banking.
Familiarity with relational databases and basic SQL.
Category-wise Technical Skills:
Must Have:
Strong programming skills in Java.
Experience in developing Java-based applications for cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
Good to Have:
Experience in the finance industry, particularly in investment banking, with exposure to front or back office operations.
Product knowledge of FX (foreign exchange).
Familiarity with platforms such as Calypso or Murex.
Experience:
2 to 4 years of relevant experience in Java development, preferably within the financial services sector.
Day-to-Day Activities:
Collaborate with senior developers and team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
Design, develop, test, and maintain Java applications for cloud environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise during development and production.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge-sharing sessions.
Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, applying new knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant internships or project experience in software development are a plus.
