Company Description Studio Querencia is a bespoke architecture and interior design studio based in Mumbai, founded by Kiraan Ajay Aggarwal. The studio is inspired by the concept of Querencia, a place where individuals feel safe, strong, and most authentic. Studio Querencia aims to create spaces that allow people to draw strength from their surroundings and feel truly at home. The practice focuses on thoughtful, character-driven design, free from unnecessary embellishment imposed by the outside world. Its design philosophy centers on creating meaningful, personal environments that reflect the true essence of the people who inhabit them.

Role Description The Junior Architect will support the design and execution of architectural and interior projects, collaborating closely with the principal architect. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing drawings and 3D models, assisting with concept development, space planning, and detailing, as well as contributing to presentations and design documentation. The role involves coordinating with consultants, vendors, and contractors, and helping track project progress and timelines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring regular studio presence and site visits. The Junior Architect will be expected to bring a strong design sensibility aligned with Studio Querencia's ethos of creating authentic, nurturing spaces.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to support concept development and detailed drawings.
• Exposure to Software Development and Integration concepts as they relate to design tools, digital workflows, or smart-building solutions.
• Basic Project Management skills, including organizing tasks, tracking timelines, and assisting in coordination with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant design softwares including AutoCAD and Revit. Experience in other softwares like SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite) and willingness to learn new tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or an equivalent professional qualification from an accredited institution.
• Strong visual and spatial design skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate ideas into clear drawings and presentations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a studio environment and on active project sites.
• Interest in residential and interior projects, with a sensitivity to user experience, materiality, and context.
