Job Description

Job Title: Junior Architect

Company: Salleel Deshpande Architect & Consultant

Job Summary:

Salleel Deshpande Architect & Consultant is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Architect to support architectural design development, prepare detailed drawings, assist in project coordination, and contribute to innovative design solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, a keen design sense, and the willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow within a multidisciplinary design environment. This role involves working closely with senior team members across all stages of architectural designfrom concept development to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in conceptual design, design development, and preparation of architectural drawings.

* Develop detailed drawings, 3D models, presentations, and architectural documentation.

* Coordinate with senior architects, interior designers, and consultants to ensure accurate and cohesive design outputs.

* Conduct basic site assessments, measurements, and documentation under guidance.

* Support in preparing layouts, working drawings, and construction details.

* Ensure design compliance with building codes, bylaws, and relevant standards.

* Participate in material research, finishes selection, and specification preparation.

* Assist in preparing submissions for approvals from authorities and regulatory bodies.

* Collaborate with the project team to resolve design and technical challenges.

* Attend site visits with senior team members to observe construction progress and design implementation.

Qualifications:

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) & Related Field.

Experience:

* 0-2 years of professional experience in an architecture or design firm.

* Internship experience in architectural design will be an added advantage.

Skills:

* Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, 3ds Max, or similar tools is preferred.

* Strong understanding of architectural fundamentals, spatial planning, and design principles.

* Ability to develop accurate drawings, models, and visual presentations.

* Basic knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and relevant codes.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to learn quickly, take feedback positively, and adapt to project needs.

* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

Additional Requirements:

* Registration with the Council of Architecture (COA) is preferred or in process.

* Familiarity with local construction practices will be an advantage.

Working Conditions:

* Full-time, in-office role from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.

* Occasional site visits under supervision.

* Travel to project sites as required.
