About the Company:

Arete Design Studio is a leading architecture and design firm known for its innovative, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing projects. We work on a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, and urban design. We are looking for a motivated Junior Architect to join our team and contribute to the design and development of impactful architectural solutions.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Architect with a passion for design and architecture. The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of professional experience, a strong foundation in architectural design principles, and proficiency in key design software. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates or entry-level architects to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of architectural designs, drawings, and presentations for client meetings, competitions, and project proposals.
  • Develop conceptual and schematic designs, working closely with senior architects and design teams.
  • Produce detailed architectural drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other software as needed.
  • Prepare 3D models, renderings, and visualizations for design presentations using tools like SketchUp, Photoshop, and other rendering software.
  • Collaborate with team members to create design concepts that are functional, aesthetic, and aligned with project goals.
  • Assist in site analysis and research for design development.
  • Ensure that all designs adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Participate in project meetings and assist in the preparation of project documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of architectural trends, software updates, and industry best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Diploma in Architectural Assistanship.
  • Experience: 0-4 years of professional experience in architecture (internships and academic projects are also considered).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and other relevant architectural software (Revit, Rhino, etc. is a plus).
  • Strong 3D modeling and rendering skills.
  • Basic understanding of architectural drawing standards and construction documentation.
  • Design & Communication:
  • Ability to communicate design ideas clearly through sketches, drawings, and presentations.
  • Strong visual and creative skills, with attention to detail and aesthetics.
