About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants to build a strong foundation in day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting entries, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance
• Perform bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations on a regular basis
• Prepare and post month-end accruals and adjusting entries
• Support the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) and flag discrepancies
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and supporting schedules for audits
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting queries

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field
• 0–3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience (freshers with strong fundamentals welcome)
• Working knowledge of accounting principles (IGAAP/Ind AS as applicable)
• Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with Zoho books is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
