Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Accountant, based in Chennai. The Junior Accountant will oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. This role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The candidate will also contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and collaborating with the team to support budgeting and financial reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in accounting principles, preparation of financial statements, and bookkeeping
• Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable management
• Preferred experience in tax regulations, compliance, and audit support
• Familiarity with accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification)
• Prior experience as an accountant or in a related role is an advantage
