Job Description
Location: Worli, Mumbai
Experience: 0–2 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time
Department: Creative
ABOUT THE ROLEWe're looking for a Junior Video Editor who understands that good editing is more than just putting clips together.
You'll work closely with our creative, content, and account teams to turn raw footage, ideas, and briefs into engaging videos for brands across social media, digital campaigns, advertisements, and other content formats.
If you have a good eye for pacing, music, transitions, typography, and visual storytelling — and you spend way too much time noticing how videos are edited — you'll probably fit right in.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube videos, social media content, digital ads, brand films, and short-form videos.
- Turn raw footage into engaging, well-paced visual stories.
- Work with creative teams to understand briefs, concepts, scripts, and references.
- Add music, sound effects, transitions, motion graphics, text, subtitles, and basic animation.
- Create multiple versions and formats of videos for different social media platforms.
- Follow brand guidelines while still bringing your own creative perspective.
- Work with footage from shoots and organise project files, assets, and edits efficiently.
- Make revisions based on creative feedback and client requirements.
- Keep up with social media trends, editing styles, transitions, formats, and content trends.
- Assist senior editors and the creative team on larger video projects.
- Ensure final videos meet the required technical specifications and quality standards.
- 0–2 years of experience in video editing, preferably in an agency, production house, media company, or content environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Basic knowledge of After Effects is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools is a plus.
- Good understanding of video composition, pacing, music, sound design, typography, and storytelling.
- Ability to understand a creative brief and translate it into an effective edit.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good sense of what works on Instagram, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Open to feedback and comfortable making multiple iterations.
- A creative eye and curiosity to experiment are more important to us than having a long résumé.
- Experience editing Reels and short-form social content.
- Basic motion graphics and animation skills.
- Knowledge of colour correction and basic sound mixing.
- Experience working with footage from professional cameras.
- Understanding of aspect ratios, codecs, frame rates, and export settings.
- A strong personal portfolio, Instagram page, showreel, or previous work that demonstrates your editing style.
You don't need to know everything on Day 1.
But you should be someone who:
- Watches content and thinks, I could edit that better.
- Has an eye for what makes a video scroll-stopping.
- Is comfortable experimenting with new editing styles.
- Can take feedback without taking it personally.
- Is organised with files, timelines, and deadlines.
- Can work fast without compromising on quality.
- Brings ideas to the table instead of simply waiting for instructions.
- Opportunity to work on real brands and diverse creative projects.
- Exposure to advertising, digital campaigns, social media, and branded content.
- Hands-on experience with creative teams, shoots, and campaigns.
- Space to experiment, learn, and develop your editing style.
- A fast-paced agency environment where no two days look exactly the same.
