Internship Overview: Eye Mantra Hospital is seeking motivated and dedicated individuals for a 12-

month Optometrist Internship. This program is designed to provide practical experience and enhance

skills in various aspects of optometry, including Autorefractor (AR), Non-Contact Tonometry (NCT),

Refraction, and vision testing. Interns will work closely with experienced optometrists and

ophthalmologists, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to a wide range of eye care procedures

and patient interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing comprehensive eye examinations, including vision tests and refraction.

• Operate diagnostic equipment such as Autorefractor (AR) and Non-Contact Tonometer (NCT).

• Take accurate patient history and document findings.

• Help in diagnosing and managing common ocular conditions.

• Educate patients about eye health, contact lens care, and preventive measures.

• Support optometrists in daily clinical tasks and administrative duties.

• Maintain and sterilize equipment following hospital protocols.

• Participate in training sessions and workshops conducted by senior staff.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of Autorefractor (AR), Non-Contact Tonometry (NCT), and refraction

techniques.

• Understanding of how to take vision and conduct vision tests.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
