Roles And Responsibility
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and environments (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability of server infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including performance bottlenecks, server crashes, and network outages.
- Apply security patches, updates, and system upgrades regularly to maintain optimal performance.
- Automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and file systems.
- Monitor system logs and proactively address potential problems.
- Ensure security best practices are followed, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security tools.
- Collaborate with the DevOps and development teams to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Skill Requirement
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems (installation, configuration, and management).
- Familiarity with shell scripting (Bash, Python) to automate tasks.
- Understanding of system monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Exposure to version control systems like Git.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
