Job Description

Monitor daily production activities and ensure production targets are achieved.

Manage and monitor assembly/production line operations.

Ensure operators follow defined SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards.

Track Plan vs Actual Production and identify gaps.

Monitor cycle time, productivity, downtime, rejection and rework.

Coordinate with Quality, Stores, Maintenance and Engineering teams to resolve production issues.

Identify bottlenecks in the production line and support corrective actions.

Ensure proper manpower allocation and utilization.

Monitor material availability at the production line and coordinate with stores for shortages.

Maintain daily production reports and MIS.

Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Assist in line balancing and process improvement to improve productivity.

Monitor safety practices and ensure safe working conditions on the shop floor.

Support new product/process introduction and process trials.

Investigate recurring production problems and support root-cause analysis.

Ensure proper handling of finished goods, WIP and rejected/rework units.

Support refurbishment/rework activities wherever applicable.

Coordinate with supervisors and operators to ensure smooth shift operations.

Requirements

Good understanding of production and assembly processes.

Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and line balancing.

Ability to understand engineering drawings and work instructions.

Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Basic knowledge of Excel and production MIS.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work on the shop floor and manage operators.

Strong focus on productivity, quality and process discipline.
