Job Description

Title: Junior Analyst Credit Assessment & Process Automation

Location: Full-time On-site at the client's office

Duration: Annual contract

Description:

We are looking for a highly analytical and tech-savvy Credit Risk Analyst to join our project team on a contractual basis. This role is positioned at the intersection of financial analysis and transformation. Based directly at the client's site, you will serve as a functional expert, responsible for evaluating creditworthiness of businesses, preparing credit assessments, and supporting lending decisions while simultaneously acting as a bridge to the technology team to automate and streamline credit workflows. This role is ideal for candidates who are looking to apply their technical financial expertise in a Fin-tech driven environment. Analyst will spend 70% of the time on core credit assessment and remaining 30% collaborating with developers to digitize the credit journey

Core Responsibilities (70%)

  • Perform in-depth analysis of financial statements (Balance sheet, Income statements and Cashflows) to evaluate company liquidity, solvency and profitability
  • Independently deliver detailed credit assessments for large corporates across sectors
  • Work directly with the client's relationship managers and credit teams to resolve data discrepancies and gather borrower information
  • Build and review comprehensive financial models with projections, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Conduct thorough business and financial risk analysis, including capital structure, liquidity, and covenant assessments
  • Write high-quality credit memos, investment recommendations, and risk summaries that meet our client standards for their management or loan committees
  • Review and quality-check outputs
  • Attend & actively participate in client meetings, circulate meeting notes

Expanded Responsibilities (30%):

  • Creating SOPs and document existing manual credit workflows
  • Translate risk logics and financial formulas into functional requirement for technology team
  • Help with data standardization for the technology team to clean and structure the data sets for better integration into automated systems
  • Conduct UAT on new credit software and perform outcome validation
  • Collaborating with Technology and all internal team

Skill requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Preferred MBA/CA/ CFA
  • CA freshers / MBA Finance with 1-3 years experience as analyst in any Financial Institution (Existing experience in Credit role would be an advantage)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Excellent qualitative skills and the ability to prepare well-edited, well-presented reports and market commentary
    • Strong quantitative skills, an analytical and enquiring mind and ability to work with significant amounts of analytics and data, both numerical and qualitative.
  • Team player and strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport easily and to converse confidently and articulately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Ability to work on a retainer basis, managing competing deadlines for multiple projects.
  • Proficient at least in MS office suites, specifically Excel and Word; ability to use spreadsheets, pivots calculations, and basic excel functions.
  • Display a strong independence, self-motivation, and take ownership of assigned work and proactively contribute to overall growth of the client account.
