Job Summary
The Junior Contract Engineer will support the contracts and project teams in managing construction contracts, reviewing technical and commercial documents, monitoring project compliance, and assisting in contract administration for real estate development projects. The role involves coordination with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are executed in line with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Administration
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing construction contracts and subcontracts.
- Support in preparing contract documents, LOIs, work orders, and amendments.
- Maintain proper documentation and contract records.
Tendering & Procurement Support
- Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and comparison statements.
- Coordinate with procurement and technical teams during contractor selection.
- Support negotiations with vendors and contractors.
Project Coordination
- Monitor project progress in relation to contractual milestones.
- Track variations, claims, and change orders.
- Assist in reviewing contractor payment applications.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure contract compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Identify potential contractual risks and report to senior management.
- Support dispute resolution processes if required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain contract logs and variation registers.
- Prepare periodic reports on contract status and project updates.
- Ensure proper filing of correspondence and approvals.
