Position Overview
We are seeking a mid-level journalist with strong expertise in political reporting and governance analysis. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in writing, researching, and delivering insightful stories that decode complex policy issues, government decisions, and political developments for diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, investigate, and report on political events, governance reforms, and public policy developments in Delhi and at the national level.
- Produce clear, engaging, and fact-based articles, features, and opinion pieces.
- Conduct interviews with policymakers, experts, and stakeholders to enrich reporting.
- Monitor legislative sessions, government press releases, and political campaigns.
- Collaborate with editorial teams to ensure accuracy, balance, and timely coverage.
- Develop sector-specific insights and comparative frameworks to contextualize governance issues.
- Uphold journalistic ethics, ensuring impartiality and credibility in all content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Political Science, Public Policy, or related fields.
- 3–6 years of professional experience in political or governance reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex policy matters.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with digital journalism tools, social media platforms, and multimedia storytelling.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to fast-changing political landscapes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in stakeholder mapping and impact assessment.
- Knowledge of governance structures, public administration, and policy evaluation.
- Ability to benchmark and compare governance models across states or countries.
- Proficiency in Hindi and English for bilingual reporting.
