OP is partnering with a globally renowned leader in media, entertainment, and consumer experiences to hire a technically curious and collaborative Jira and Confluence Platform Engineer to support their Digital Experience organization. Operating at the intersection of technology and internal user engagement, this role focuses on configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira and Confluence Data Center platforms) to optimize internal digital tools used by a worldwide workforce.

Key Responsibilities
- Platform Configuration & Administration.
- Configure and manage Jira and Confluence Data Center environments, including native features and third-party plugins.
- Build Jira projects and design custom workflows based on business needs.
- Administer Confluence spaces, templates, and permissions.
- Maintain system documentation and operational procedures.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues via service ticket queues.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely support.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Contribute to platform stability, scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and DevOps best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- Exposure to Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) through coursework, internships, or work experience.
- Introductory experience with SQL and JQL.
- Understanding of SDLC and application support processes.
- Strong communication skills and structured problem-solving ability.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Bash).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and REST APIs.
- Awareness of authentication protocols (SSO, SAML, OAuth2).
- Interest in automation and extending Jira/Confluence functionality.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level applications in large-scale environments.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience.
