Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Jewelry Designer to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative jewelry collections that align with the brand's aesthetic and commercial goals. The ideal candidate combines strong artistic sensibility with technical expertise and an understanding of materials, trends, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design original jewelry pieces and collections (fine/fashion/bridal as applicable).
- Translate ideas into sketches, CAD designs, and detailed technical drawings.
- Research market trends, materials, gemstones, and customer preferences.
- Collaborate with product development, merchandising, and production teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Create design specifications, including measurements, materials, stone details, and finishes.
- Review samples, prototypes, and final pieces for quality, accuracy, and design integrity.
- Work closely with vendors, artisans, and manufacturers to refine designs and resolve production issues.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
- Maintain and evolve the brand's design language and creative direction.
- Participate in collection presentations, internal reviews, and design meetings.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Jewelry Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Jewelry Designer (typically 2–5 years, adjustable based on role level).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, Jewel CAD) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of gemstones, metals, settings, and manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent sketching, visualization, and conceptual thinking skills.
- Attention to detail with a strong sense of aesthetics and craftsmanship.
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial viability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with fine jewelry, diamonds, or precious gemstones.
- Knowledge of costing, sourcing, and production processes.
- Exposure to global jewelry trends and international markets.
