About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Jewellery Merchandiser to join our export team. This role is ideal for someone who understands international jewellery markets, customer preferences, and product trends, and can translate that understanding into successful product selections and development decisions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding product development, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring that the jewellery we manufacture aligns with customer demand. Their recommendations will directly influence our product assortment, making this a high-impact position within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze jewellery trends across key export markets.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer preferences, buying patterns, and market requirements.
- Work closely with management and product development teams to recommend styles, categories, and collections for manufacturing.
- Evaluate product performance and provide insights to improve future selections.
- Coordinate with sales, merchandising, and production teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements and product offerings.
- Study retailer and wholesale customer needs and identify opportunities for assortment improvement.
- Assist in creating product presentations and collection strategies for customers.
- Maintain organized records of product selections, customer feedback, and market observations.
- Participate in market research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting activities.
- Support the development of commercially viable jewellery collections for export markets.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the jewellery industry.
- Prior exposure to export-oriented jewellery businesses is preferred.
- Understanding of retail and wholesale jewellery markets.
- Strong interest in product development, market trends, and consumer behavior.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.
