JOB TITLE : Cashier

LOCATION : Raipur

REPORTS TO : Store Manager/ Assistant Store Manager

JOB OVERVIEW :

The Jewellery Cashier will be responsible for managing billing transactions accurately, ensuring secure cash handling and delivering a seamless checkout experience aligned with the brand's luxury standards. This role requires precision, integrity and excellent customer interaction skills in a high-end retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Billing & Payment Processing

• Handle all billing transactions accurately, including cash, card, UPI and bank transfers.
• Generate invoices, receipts and ensure proper documentation for jewellery purchases.
• Verify pricing, discounts, taxes and approvals as per company policies.

• Cash & Financial Management

• Maintain accurate cash balances and daily cash reconciliation.
• Ensure secure handling of cash, jewellery invoices and confidential financial data.
• Coordinate with accounts and store management for daily reports and audits.

• Customer Service

• Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers during checkout.
• Address basic billing-related queries and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Support jewellery consultants during peak hours to ensure smooth store operations.

• Store Operations & Compliance

• Maintain billing records and update POS systems accurately.
• Adhere to store security, compliance and audit protocols.
• Assist in inventory tagging, invoice matching and stock documentation when required.

• Brand Representation

• Uphold the brand's values of trust, transparency and professionalism.
• Maintain professional grooming and conduct aligned with luxury retail standards.

Qualifications & Skills

·      Graduate degree or diploma preferred (Commerce / Finance background advantageous).

·      Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a cashier, preferably in jewellery or luxury retail.

·      Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.

·      Proficiency in POS system, billing software, digital payment platforms and basic computer applications.

·      Good communication skills.

·      Ability to manage pressure during peak hours while maintaining composure.
