About the Role
We are looking for a JavaScript / TypeScript Code Review Engineer (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on code quality, frontend and backend engineering, and modern web development practices.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated code outputs related to JavaScript, TypeScript, APIs, asynchronous programming, frontend frameworks, and scalable application architecture, helping improve how AI models generate, validate, and optimize production-quality code.
You will collaborate with global AI and engineering teams to assess the correctness, maintainability, performance, and reliability of AI-generated software solutions. Your contributions will directly enhance AI systems used for coding assistance, software development, and engineering workflows.
Responsibilities
- Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain, including code reviews, debugging workflows, and optimization strategies
- Annotate and evaluate AI-generated JavaScript and TypeScript code responses across various development scenarios
- Review peer-developed deliverables to enhance AI research quality and consistency
- Diagnose and solve real-world frontend, backend, and full-stack development challenges to improve AI reasoning capabilities
- Assess AI-generated code for correctness, readability, scalability, maintainability, and performance
- Identify bugs, inefficient implementations, logical inconsistencies, security concerns, or edge-case failures in AI-generated solutions and provide structured feedback
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI models focused on JavaScript/TypeScript development and code intelligence
Requirements
- Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of frontend and backend development concepts
- Experience with frameworks and technologies such as React, Node.js, Next.js, Express, or similar tools
- Familiarity with APIs, asynchronous programming, testing frameworks, and modern development workflows
- Ability to critically evaluate code quality, software architecture, and engineering best practices
- Experience with debugging, code optimization, and version control systems such as Git
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
