Java Technical Lead

Job purpose

The role of a senior developer is responsible for the design, development, and management of applications by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Understand Client, Project and detailed Scope and seek clarifications where necessary
• Design, develop, and unit test applications / products
• Analyze the impact due to changes in code
• Design algorithms and flowcharts
• Produce clean, efficient and re-usable codes based on specifications
• Run tests to find any errors or bugs
• Verify and deploy programs and systems
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
• Deliver solutions on-time and on-budget
• Follow standards & best practices
• Prepare reports / manuals and other documentation
• Constantly upgrading self about the latest technology

Qualifications & Desired Skills

• Experience:
• 9+ years of experience in JAVA.
• Minimum 5 years of development and design experience in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture and REST API.
• Hands on experience in performance tuning, debugging, monitoring.
• Understanding of containerization, experienced in Dockers, Kubernetes.
• Good knowledge in mysql / oracle database.
• Education:
• Degree (B.Tech / B.E), Post graduate in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
• Competencies:
• Technical Skills:
• Extensive coding experience with SOLID principles, Event Driven Architecture, Spring boot, Oracle, Hibernate and have passion for coding.
• Good hands-on experience with cloud design patterns and their implementation.
• Well versed with CI/CD principles, and actively involved in solving, troubleshooting issues in distributed services ecosystem.
• Familiar with Distributed services resiliency and monitoring in a production environment.
• Exposed to API gateway integrations like 3Scale, Kong etc.
• Functional Skills:
• Experience in Banking, Financial and Fintech experience in an enterprise environment preferred.
• Experience in following best Coding, Security, Unit testing and Documentation standards and practices.
• Experience in Agile methodology.
• Ensure quality of technical and application architecture and design of systems across the organization.
• Effectively research and benchmark technology against other best in class technologies.
• Soft Skills:
• Able to influence multiple teams on technical considerations, increasing their productivity and effectiveness, by sharing deep knowledge and experience.
• Self-motivator and self-starter, ability to own and drive things without supervision and works collaboratively with the teams across the organization.
• Have excellent soft skills and interpersonal skills to interact and present the ideas to Senior and Executive management.
